Katherine was a Broadway and stage actress around New York City and will always be remembered as Ms. Harriet Oleson as a gossiping, nasty, and an arrogant lady from the TV show Little House of Prairie. Before she landed this role, she didn’t really get major roles in series and studied acting under three phenomenal mentors. When the show ended in 1983 and so did Katherine’s acting career as she went into retirement afterward refusing to work in the movie industry anymore.

Recently, she passed away on November 13, 2018, two months before January 12, 2019, to welcome her 94th birthday. The way she spent some of her life in the industry, she clearly manages to create a legacy seeing how she had an early retirement. Many people must have been devastated by her death but regardless, she definitely enjoyed the most of her life. We hope that she may rest in peace.
